Videos are circulating in Tipperary of people testing car doors in housing estates.
Cllr Liam Browne said: "Can people please ensure that their cars are locked at night time before they go to bed.
"I shouldn't have to give this advice, but I have received multiple videos throughout on Tuesday evening, of people testing car doors to see if they were unlocked.
"To those who are trying to open cars...these videos have been passed on to the gardaí. And there are lots of video evidence from estates right across the town from CCTV and ring bell cameras.
"You're being watched, and you're being seen."
