Gardaí had received an alert that the vehicle had no insurance prior to intercepting the car on the M7.

Tipperary gardaí seize car for having no insurance

Tipperary gardaí have seized a car following an alert that the driver had no insurance for the vehicle.
Tipperary Roads Policing Unit had received an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) alert for a vehicle without insurance before intercepting the car on the M7. 
Gardaí discovered that the driver's insurance company had terminated the policy, which the driver ignored.
The driver is due to appear in court and the car has been seized.
