Tipperary Roads Policing Unit were awaiting a tow truck for an uninsured vehicle in the Nenagh District when a passing motorist drew their attention over the weekend.

Gardaí said: "When we stopped the motorist we discovered the driver was disqualified from driving for 15 years, failed a road side drug test for cocaine and cannabis and had an outstanding warrant for their arrest.

"The motorist was arrested and held in custody and car seized."
