Tipperary Roads Policing Unit arrest disqualified driver clocked at 156km/h on the M7

The unit were surveying the M7 over the weekend during adverse weather conditions

The disqualified driver in question was clocked doing 36km/h over the legal limit

A disqualified driver has been arrested following speeding and dangerous driving on the M7 near Nenagh over the weekend.

With the hazardous wind and rain conditions this morning Tipperary Roads Policing Unit were out monitoring the road network when this vehicle was intercepted for speeding at 156km/h.

After they stopped the car, it was also discovered the driver is currently disqualified and should not be on the roads.

Gardaí say the motorist was arrested on suspicion of Dangerous & Disqualified driving and has been charged to appear in court.
