In loving memory of Rody Cawley, Richmond, Templemore and formerly of Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, who passed away peacefully on December 16th, 2025, under the exceptional care of Dr. Brian Hennessy, his dedicated team, and all the staff at University Hospital Waterford and Whitfield Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Jayne and much-loved father of Yvonne and Sara-Jayne. Dearly loved brother of Sarah and sadly missed by his brothers and sisters in law Teresa, John, Jimmy, Edel, Helen and Jim. Cherished uncle to his nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and lovingly remembered by his extended family, friends, neighbours, golfing community, and his faithful and precious companion Bailey.

Reposing in Grey’s Funeral Home Templemore (e41 tr83) this Friday, evening December 19th, from 5 pm to 7 pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday in the Church of the Sacred Heart Templemore at 11 am. Interment afterwards in Templetuohy cemetery.

Ursula Fennessy
(née Thornton)

It is with great sadness and a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ursula Fennessy, Father Matthew Terrace, Clonmel, Co.Tipperary, 16th December 2025. Unexpectedly in the tender care of the nursing staff and doctors at Tipperary University Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Mai Thornton, sister Marie and her brother Philip. Ursula will be very sadly missed by her beloved husband Anthony, lovingly remembered by her son David, daughter Maria, daughter-in-law Karen. son-in-law Padhraic, her adored and adoring grandchildren Jack and Lorna, brother John, sisters-in-law Joan, Kathleen and Elma, nieces, nephews, extended family and neighbours especially Freda and Con and her many many friends.

Reposing at Fennessy's Funeral Home, Kickham Street Clonmel (E91 VH64) this Thursday evening from 5 o'clock to 7 o'clock with removal on Friday morning to Ss.Peter & Paul's church arriving for Requiem Mass at 11 o'clock followed by interment in St.Patrick's cemetery.

Pat passed away peacefully in the presence of his family and in the care of Maria Goretti nursing home Kilmallock, 17th December 2025.

Predeceased by his wife Carmel, brothers David and the recently deceased Jim, sisters Sr. Hilary and Bridie.

 

Sadly missed by his loving children Sylvia (Hayes) and John Nelius, brother Noel, grandchildren, son in law Denny, daughter in law Karin, sisters in law Geneviene, Kathleen and Mary, nieces, nephews, cousins family relatives and friends.

 

Pat will be reposing at Davern's funeral home, Hospital, Co. Limerick (V35XV96) this Friday evening (19th December) from 5.30pm until 7pm.

Funeral cortége arriving at St. John The Baptist Church, Hospital, Saturday morning (20th December) for requiem mass at 11.30am, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of the late James Jordan Skough, Carrick-on-Suir, Kilkenny. James passed away on the 15th December 2025 surrounded by his family in Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by his Mother Rene and granddaughter Emily. Deeply regretted by his Sons Martin and Kevin, grandchild Kacey, Brothers and Sisters, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, Nephews and Nieces, extended Family, neighbours, Friends.

James will be reposing at Walsh's Funeral Home, New Street, Carrick-on-Suir on Thursday 18th December, from 5pm to 6pm. Followed by Private Cremation in The Island Crematorium Cork at 2pm on Friday the 19th December.

And formerly Cragg, Newport, Co. Tipperary. Peacefully after a long illness bravely borne. In the wonderful care of the staff of St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Mary, sister Margaret (Lim). Deeply regretted by her loving family; devoted husband Eddie, brothers Michael (Gortnahoe) and Arthur (Cragg), sister Maria (O'Keeffe, Ballinunty), niece Avalon, nephews Flavian, Fiach and Michael, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, sister-in-law Maura, brother-in-law Bart, Arthur's partner Una (O'Connor), cousins, carers, relatives neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Hugh Ryan's Funeral, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on Thurday 18th December from 5pm to 7pm. Arriving at the Cathedral of the Assumption, Thurles on Friday 19th December at 10.30am for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Thurles.

Danny O'Dwyer

The death has occurred of Danny O'Dwyer, Lanespark, Ballynonty, Thurles, Co. Tipperary on December 16th 2025. Predeceased by his father Martin, mother Kitty and sister Mary. Regretted by his wife Phyllis, daughter Carol and son Robert, his grandchildren Sarah, James and Danny, son in law Donal, brothers Martin and John, brothers in law Tommy, Eugene and Liam, nephews and nieces, relatives and large circle of friends.

Michael Somers

The death has occurred of Michael Somers, Mountain Road, Clonmel, Co Tipperary.

 

Michael (in his 90th year), passed away peacefully at Waterford University Hospital on Monday afternoon. Pre-deceased by his wife Sally and his brothers Walter, John and Billy, he will be sadly missed by his daughter Majella, son-in-law Rory, grandchildren Evan and Laura, sister Eva, brother-in-law Ned, sisters-in-law Eileen and Marilyn, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Condons Funeral Parlour, Clonmel on Friday evening from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Removal on Saturday to Ss. Peter & Paul’s Church. Funeral Mass on arrival at 1.00pm.
