The death has occurred of Angela Barrett (nee McCarthy) Castleview, Ardfinnan, Co Tipperary peacefully at her residence on 11th January 2026. Predeceased by her parents Nora and Thomas McCarthy, sister Marion, brother Michael and brother-in-law Pat O'Donnell. Sadly missed by her loving husband Seán, daughters Deirdre and Orla (Byron) son Seán, son-in-law Michael and adored grandchildren Ella, Michael and Leah, brothers Tony and Don, sisters Margaret (O'Donnell) and Teresa (Morrissey), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

The death has occurred of Grace Benyin, Liscara, Old Toberaheena, Clonmel, Co Tipperary and formerly Accra, Ghana, West Africa.

Grace passed away tragically on Friday 21st November 2025. She will be sadly missed by her husband Frederick, children Tracy, Epaphras, Joseph and Queency, father Joseph and mother Mama Esi, brothers Paa and Kwasi, sisters Beatrice and Stella, nephews, nieces, extended family, her wide circle of friends and colleagues.

Burial will take place in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Clonmel on Friday 16th January 2026 at 12.00pm with a private celebration of Grace’s life to be held afterwards for family and friends.

Bridget (Bridie) Daly
(née Meehan)

DALY (née Meehan), Bridget (Bridie) (Castleknock, Dublin 15 and formerly of Kilcommon, Thurles, Co. Tipperary) January 11th, 2026, peacefully, surrounded by her family and in the loving care of the staff at Mount Hybla Nursing Home, Castleknock. Beloved wife of James (Jim) and much loved mother of Breeda, Geraldine, Patricia, grandson Ian and Caroline. Sadly missed by her loving husband, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

 

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Blanchardstown on Thursday evening (15th January) from 5pm to 7pm. Removal to St. Brigid’s Church, Blanchardstown on Friday morning arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am followed by cremation in Dardistown Crematorium. Bridie’s Funeral Mass may be viewed online (live only) by following this LINK and her committal service by following this LINK. Family flowers only please. Una DOHENY

Una Doheny (The Paddocks, Kilkenny City and late of Farranrory, Ballingarry (SR) Co. Tipperary) 10th of January 2026 (suddenly) in her 90th year at her home. Predeceased by her husband Bill, sister Kathleen, brothers Niall, John and James and her niece Rita. Una will be sadly missed by her loving daughters Helen and Pauline, son-in-law Patsy, grandson Conor, granddaughter Eimear, her partner Darragh, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Hehir's Funeral Home (R95 FH90) from 5p.m. on Tuesday 13th of January concluding with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 6.30p.m. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 12noon in St. Joseph's Church, Foulkstown followed by interment in the adjoining Cemetery. And formerly Coldfields, Two Mile Borris, Thurles. Unexpectedly. In the wonderful care of the Staff of University Hospital, Limerick. Predeceased by his parents James and Mary, infant sister Helen, godmother Mary (Maher), sister-in-law Bernie. Deeply regretted by his loving family; devoted wife Charlotte (née McGinn, Roscrea), daughters Serena, Lisa and Aimee, son Kevin, grandchildren Georgia and Cathal, brother Pat, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law Thomas, Patrick, Stephen and Aidan, sisters-in-law Pauline, Liz and Elaine, cousins, neighbours and friends.

Patrick (Paddy) Hassett

Paddy died peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a short illness bravely borne, predeceased by his parents and brother Sean. Deeply regretted by his loving family, sons Micheál and Declan, daughter Sharon (Kearney), grandchildren Megan, Willie, Archie, Paddy, Rory and Jane, son-in-law Paul, daughter-in-law Sheena and Declan's partner Barbara, sisters Nell Johnson and Mary O'Reilly, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Lonergan's Funeral Home, Cashel on Tuesday evening, 13th January from 5pm to 7pm arriving at St. Peter's Church, Moycarkey at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning, 14th January at 11.30am, burial after Mass in St. Peter's Cemetery, Moycarkey. Family flowers only donations if desired to South Tipperary Hospice.

Nora Healy
(née Byrnes)

Nora Healy (nee Byrnes), Community Houses, Gilmartin Park, Murroe, Co. Limerick and formerly of Newport, Co. Tipperary. 10th January 2026, passed away peacefully in the tender care of Milford Care Centre. Wife of the late Martin. Survived by her daughters Martina and Michelle, sons in law Willie and John, extended family, neighbours and many good friends.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine O'Brien, Parkville, Mountain Road, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, January 10th 2026. Peacefully with her family by her side at The Oak Ward, Waterford University Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Maureen and her sister Anne. Catherine will be sadly missed by her loving family Deirdre, Michael, Tom and John, sisters-in-law Norma and Ita, brothers-in-law Brendan and Bob, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family and her many friends.

Thomas (Tom): Pre-deceased by his mother Teresa. Frances Power

Frances Power, Late of 10 Ash Park Village and formerly of St Molleran's Carrick-Beg Carrick-on-Suir, died peacefully in Greenhill nursing home on the 12th January 2026.

Pre-deceased by her parents Bridget and Terence, sisters Bridget and Margaret, brothers Terry, Pat and Eamonn, her niece Donna, sadly missed by her sisters Eileen and June, brothers Robert, Seamus, Pascal and Liam, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

May Frances rest in peace.

Frances will be reposing at Walsh's funeral home New Street Carrick-on-Suir on Tuesday the 13th January from 5pm to 6pm. Frances will be arriving at St Nicholas Church on Wednesday the 14th January for requiem mass on arrival at 10.30am followed by burial afterwards in St Mary's cemetery
