Gerard Joseph ‘Gerry’ Patterson of Brockagh, Laragh, Co Wicklow and formerly of Clonmel, Co Tipperary, passed away on January 28, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Gerry was the beloved husband of Eileen and loving father of Denis, Ciarán, Aoife and the late Gearóid.

He is sadly missed by his family, daughters-in-law Narelle and Ying, son-in-law Pat, his grandchildren Benjamin, Iain, Rachel, Hiúdaí, Finnán and Iarlaith, his sisters Breda and Denise, brother-in-law Michael, many relatives, neighbours and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents Denis and Catherine, his brothers James and Seán and his sister Joan.
He will lay in repose at his home on Friday, January 30, from 3pm to 8pm.
Removal will take place on Saturday at 10:30am, walking to St Kevin’s Church, Glendalough for Funeral Mass at 11am.
Burial will take place afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
The family asks for family flowers only, with donations in lieu, if desired, to Irish Cancer Society or Wickow Hospice.
The Mass will be recorded and available to view from 6pm on Saturday.
Gerry’s family would like to express their gratitude to Wicklow Hospice and Irish Cancer Society for the excellent care they provided.

Tributes have been paid to Gerry online following his passing, with one person saying: “Sincere condolences to Eileen, and all the Patterson family on the sad loss of Gerry. Gerry was a true and kind gentleman. He will be missed by all who knew him. Thinking of you all at this very sad time. May he rest now in eternal peace.”
Another person said: “Can’t believe I am writing this, we have lost an absolute gentleman, Gerry you were loved to bits by all who knew you, Eileen, Denis, Aoife & Ciaran, words can't express how deeply sorry we are at your devastating loss, May Gerry's lovely soul rest in peace always.”
