Over 150 bags of rubbish were collected in Dundrum this week
Over 150 bags of rubbish were cleaned up by a group of community minded people who could be seen out and about in one West Tipperary village earlier this week.
Over 30 people turned out in the village of Dundrum yesterday evening (Monday, April 15) to take part in a community litter pick to make sure the area is spick and span coming into the summer season.

The event took place in association with the National Spring Clean, which aims to get towns and villages together to keep their areas clean.
Organisers of the Dundrum clean said that there was too many people to thank for helping out on the night, but paid special mention to the Marl Bog community employment scheme, who "constantly keep the village in tip top shape," they said.

"All sorts was taken from the roadsides, from tyres, to household rubbish, frying pans, Hoovers, saucepans, and litter from vehicles, resulting with over 150 bags of rubbish collected," the group said.
