Cllr Ryan announced his commitment to serving the people of North-West Kilkenny on social media last weekend, stating that should he be elected, he would commit to opening a constituency office in Urlingford to cater to their needs.

According to several candidates who spoke with the Tipperary Star, including Cllr Ryan, canvassing has been very difficult in North-West Kilkenny, with many choosing to abstain from the vote in protest of the newly redrawn boundary.

Speaking in a post on social media, Cllr Ryan said: "If I get elected as a TD next Friday I will commit to opening a Constituency Officenin Urlingford so that the people of North West Kilkenny will have a full time TD on the ground serving the areas of Urlingford, Johnstown, Freshford, Tullaroan, Galmoy and Crosspatrick."
