BREAKING: Significant update in Tipperary North sees Michael Smith eliminated

Follow all the results, reaction and analysis from the Count Centre here in Thurles as Tipperary South and Tipperary North votes are counted to elect three TDs in each constituency for the 2024 General Election

After this morning's recount of the votes following count nine, it has just been confirmed that Fianna Fáil's Michael Smith has been eliminated. 

The updated results from count nine are:

Alan Kelly - 11,088

Ryan O'Meara - 7,781

Jim Ryan - 6,364

Michael Smith - 6,361.
