Grants of thousands for Tipperary Family Resource Centres
An investment of €50,000 has been announced for county Tipperary
Five Family Resource Centres across Tipperary are to receive funding of €10,000 each, including Spafield FRC in Cashel, Three Drives FRC in Tipperary Town, Silver Arch in Nenagh, Roscrea FRC, and Millenium FRC in Glengoole, Thurles.
The news was welcomed by Tipperary South TD Michael Murphy, especially for his own constituency.
“This is very welcome funding for organisations that are doing hugely important work at the heart of our communities,” Deputy Murphy said.
“I know the contribution made by the teams in both Spafield in Cashel and Three Drives in Tipperary Town.
“They provide practical support to individuals and families every day, and this €10,000 allocation to each centre will help them invest directly in their facilities and services.
“Across Tipperary, five Family Resource Centres will benefit to the tune of €50,000.
“The funding is flexible and can support improvements including refurbishment works, accessibility, security, furniture and equipment, ICT and energy-efficiency measures.
“I’m particularly pleased to see Cashel and Tipperary Town included, and I look forward to seeing this funding put to good use locally,” Deputy Murphy concluded.
