'We are very proud of you,' The Presentation Thurles welcome back one of their own

Múinteoir Gaeilge, Sinéad Lewis, Iascoláire agus Laureate na nÓg, Áine Ní Ghlinn, agus Príomhoide, Trish O'Callaghan

As part of Seachtain na Gaeilge, we were thrilled to have our past pupil and Laureate na nÓg, Áine Ní Ghlinn, return to her Alma Mater last Tuesday.

Áine spoke with students in our junior and senior year groups about her life as a writer and a poet of the Irish language.

Áine captivated her audiences and was delighted to have a Q&A session with each group, culminating with words of wisdom for all of our students.

Áine generously donated copies of her book collection to our school’s library. She met with our Foireann Díospóireachta, who will be debating in the All-Ireland Final in a fortnight’s time.

Áine spoke fondly and proudly of her time in school in Presentation Thurles. Our first-years, Grace O’Shaughnessy and Paulina Kwapinska, presented Áine with a bouquet of flowers on behalf of the students. Míle buíochas, Áine.

We are very proud of you, and we are grateful to you for sharing your passion with us. You will always be welcome in your Alma Mater.
