The Thurles St. Patrick's Day Parade went off very well and a very large audience was in attendance. The mood was good, the weather held up and the atmosphere was joyful and celebratory.

People made a great effort to wear green and provide plenty of colour on the day. A very successful 2023 Thurles St. Patrick's Day Parade! Comhghairdeachas agus Bualadh Bos do gach duine!

The Thurles St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee wished to thank the Gardai for all their help, the stewards for all their hard work in setting up the reviewing stand, barrier erection, crowd control and clean-up. A thank you also to the Tipperary Volunteers who turned up to help out and AVSS for the provision of the sound system.

A huge effort was put in by all the participants, clubs, groups and dancers in the parade that added all the colour, glam and amazing variety of the theme Past, Present & Future and interesting interpretations. A great community effort by all and recognised by the warm reception of the crowd and applause, that is what the day is about, enjoyment and celebration.

A very special mention was made to the businesses of Thurles, whose donations and added generosity this year allowed the parade to happen after a fallow three-year break.

There was also a big thank you to Dew Valley Foods for sponsoring the 2nd Cash Prize of €500 and Barry's Supervalu the 3rd Prize of €250.
