King Charles is congratulated on his coronation at Tipperary County Council meeting

South Tipperary’s longest serving county councillor congratulated Britain’s newly crowned King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla at Monday’s meeting of Tipperary County Council in Clonmel.

Fine Gael Cllr Michael Fitzgerald congratulated the royal couple in the wake of the coronation ceremony in London’s Westminster Abbey last Saturday, May 6.

He said their visit to Cahir and Cashel in March last year had a “huge impact” on both towns.

“I think it’s important that we wish him well during his reign,” he added.
