Points continue to rise but Tipperary village seeks more help with Tidy Towns

Clogheen Tidy Towns appeals for support to continue with its great work.

Tidy Towns AGM

Clogheen Tidy Towns Committee will hold its AGM on Thursday, November 23, 2023 in St. Paul’s Community Centre, Clogheen at 7.30pm.

We are a group of volunteers who are dedicated to increasing our points in the Super Value Tidy Towns competition and enhancing the beauty of this town which is set in such a picturesque landscape. It is an extremely rewarding group to be part of and the work already done has greatly improved the appearance of the town.

Comments from visitors to the town and locals alike are extremely encouraging and positive and the work already undertaken is very much appreciated.

Our points continue to rise, and we had a massive jump of nine points this year. The adjudicator’s report was extremely positive saying that the group are committed, collaborative and achieving great results. It also stated that we are widely supported and integrated into the wider community and actively lobbying to ensure that every derelict or unoccupied building is tackled.

We have several projects planned for this year with a focus on biodiversity and sustainability. We would really appreciate input from all members of the community. New members are always welcome to the AGM and help us to make this wonderful place even better for all who live here and for all who visit.
