Two drivers face court prosecutions after failing two roadside breath tests in south Tipperary

Two motorists are facing court prosecutions after failing roadside breath tests in Clonmel and in the Carrick-on-Suir area on Sunday.

A man, aged in his early 20s, was arrested in Clonmel town on suspicion of driving while under the influence of an intoxicant.

A Clonmel Garda Station spokesperson said he has been charged and released on bail to appear before a district court sitting in January.

Meanwhile, a male driver, aged in his 40s, was arrested after failing a roadside breath test in the Carrick-on-Suir area the same day.

He was charged after failing to provide a breath/blood or urine sample to gardaí and appeared before Dungarvan District Court on Monday.
