St Patrick's Day parade plans get underway in Tipperary as groups asked to participate

This year’s theme for the parade in Thurles is “Mythical Ireland, in the Time of Saint Patrick”

St. Patrick's Day Parade organisers are looking for participants to take part in the parade in Thurles this March 17.

The Thurles St. Patrick’s Day Parade is set for Monday, 17th March 2025 and will kick off from Abbey Road.

Those participating in the parade are asked meet at 1:30PM near the Jysk Store, and then set off at 2:15 PM to begin the parade.

This event is proudly supported by Tipperary County Council, Thurles Chamber of Commerce, and local businesses.

The organisers have said: "We’d love for you to be part of the celebration! The parade has been a huge success over the years, thanks to the amazing participation from local businesses, clubs, schools, and community groups.

"This year’s theme is “Mythical Ireland, in the Time of Saint Patrick”—but feel free to get creative with your own ideas. Entry is completely free, so gather your group, put on your best parade spirit, and join in!

"Before and during the parade, Liberty Square will be buzzing with live music, face-painting, and plenty of side attractions to keep everyone entertained.

"Don’t miss out—come along, take part, and help make this year’s parade one to remember!"
