Galway started the brighter of the two sides, edging in front early on with some well-taken points. However, Tipperary soon settled into the contest, and goals from Eavann Duffy and Emma Bonnar proved crucial in swinging momentum their way. By halftime, Tipp had established a commanding 2-04 to 0-03 lead.

In defence, Tipperary’s backline stood firm, with Kellie O’Dwyer and Torrie Doyle excelling in the half-back line, breaking up attacks and driving their team forward. Ella Frend was rock solid at full-back, providing a strong presence in the heart of the defence, while Emma Kiely also put in a superb display.
Galway showed great determination in the second half, registering a number of points as they battled to close the gap. However, despite sustained pressure, they were unable to find the goal they desperately needed, thanks to Tipp’s resolute defending and overall fine team display.
With the final whistle confirming their well-earned victory, Tipperary can now look forward to an exciting All-Ireland series in the coming weeks, as they aim to build on their Munster success.
