LIVE: Planning granted for well-known vacant shopping centre in heart of Tipperary

Tipperary County Council have granted permission for works to begin on The Ormonde Centre, Gladstone Street, Clonmel,
Co. Tipperary, E91 T3Y7.

The property is located in the main retail area on Gladstone Street in Clonmel.

Works outlined in the planning application focus on renovating the currently empty shopping centre.

Two units alongside the main shopping centre entrance are occupied currently by DV8 and 6th Sense. 

The applicants wish to combine retail units on the ground floor to create one large retail space. 

The specific plans outlined are listed below:

  • The subdivision of ground floor from adjoining retail unit in The Marystone Centre.
  • The amalgamation of existing ground floor retail units and part of central Mall, to create a single retail unit.
  • The alterations to rear elevation (West) to Mary Street car park.
  • The signage to front elevation (East) on Gladstone Street.
