Carrick-on-Suir Town Hall where the meeting of Carrick-on-Suir Municipal District took place last week
Carrick-on-Suir Cllr David Dunne has taken over as Leas-Cathaoirleach of Carrick-on-Suir Municipal District replacing former Fianna Fáil councillor Imelda Goldsboro who held the office before she was nominated to Seanad Éireann by the Taoiseach in February.
The Sinn Féin councillor was proposed and seconded as the district’s new Leas-Cathaoirleach at Carrick MD’s monthly meeting in Carrick-on-Suir Town Hall last Thursday.
He said it was a privilege to take on the role supporting the Cathaoirleach and welcomed the newly co-opted Cllr Amy Goldsboro, daughter of Senator Goldsboro, to her first meeting of Carrick-on-Suir Municipal District councillors.
Carrick-on-Suir Municipal District Cathaoirleach Mark Fitzgerald, Cllr Michael ‘Chicken’ Brennan and Carrick Municipal District Director of Services Brian Beck also congratulated Cllr Dunne and welcomed Cllr Goldsboro.
