Thurles Lions Club’s coffee breakfast morning in support of Suir Haven Cancer Centre proved a remarkable success, raising more than €5,000 and counting. The event drew members of the community from across the region, united in their support for the vital work carried out by Suir Haven.

Organisers expressed their gratitude to all who attended and patiently waited, describing the gathering as a fabulous community occasion.
Special thanks were extended to Thurles Lion Gary Roche, his wife Geraldine, and the dedicated team at Ryan's Daughter Restaurant on Rossa Street, Thurles. Chef James Morriarty, Joanne O'Sullivan, Josie Buckley, and Orla Hickey volunteered their time and provided all the food, ensuring that every donation went entirely to Suir Haven Cancer Centre.
Patricia O'Dwyer, director of Suir Haven, along with chairperson Mary Ryan Maher and the centre’s volunteers, were praised for their support on the day. Members of Thurles Lions Club and their families were also recognised for their contributions in helping to make the event a success.
