Now in its 22nd season, the long running country music competition seeks out emerging talent from across the country, with viewers again invited to play their part through a public vote.
Those planning to support Ms Morrissey are advised to download the Glór Tíre app in advance of next week’s broadcast.
Ms Morrissey is being guided in the contest by singer Patrick Feeney. Tonight’s programme is a recorded performance, while her first live appearance is scheduled for February 24th.
The Bansha woman is aiming to advance to the semi finals on March 3rd and, should she progress, to the Grand Final on March 10th.
Viewers will hear Ms Morrissey perform “Flying Home to Aherlow”, written by Tipperary songwriter Nicholas McCarthy, as part of a special showcase for the new season.
In a message to supporters, Dee Morrissey commented:
“Thanks so much everyone for the lovely kind comments! Next Tuesday night my episode will be aired on Glór Tíre ar TG4. Hope ye will all tune in”
