Body of missing Tipperary man William Tiernan found in Limerick

Gardai have confirmed that the body of missing Tipperary man William Tiernan has been located in Limerick city earlier today.

Gardaí in Limerick searching for the missing man located his body on the bank of the canal at Corbally.

His body has been removed from the scene to University Hospital Limerick and a post mortem will take place tomorrow.

Mr Tiernan, who is originally from Coolawn, Nenagh, was reported missing on Tuesday, December 12 following a night out with work colleagues in Limerick city.
