Final call for applications to be the 2018 Tipperary Rose

Tipperary Rose 2017 Sheila Ryan

Do you have what it takes to represent your county on an international audience? Then why not sign up for the International Rose of Tralee competition and represent your county as the Tipperary Rose.

With only days left to fill out the application form, rose hopefuls are being urged to send in their entries as soon as possible on, emailing or through “tipprosecentre” on social media.

Tipperary Rose Sheila Ryan says that the past 12 months as the premier county's 2017 rose has been "one of the best years" of her life, adding that any rose hopefuls interested in applying should "go for it"  rather than looking back in regret in years to come.

Organisers say they are also looking for the help of the extended Tipperary people to nominate a daughter, sister, cousin friend or colleague as a rose in this year’s Rose of Tralee.

Speaking recently, Dr Jennifer Byrne (Rose of Tralee) said: “All I can say to any young woman is to go for it and apply. The Rose of Tralee international Festival has truly been the most incredible experience of my life and I hope to encourage as many young women as possible to take part and become their local Rose. I guarantee them they will make incredible friends and have an amazing experience."

All ladies interested in entering can find more info on  All County Roses who travel to Tralee will take part in all the parades, Rose Ball, public engagements and a qualifying event from which 32 Roses will be chosen to appear in the live selection broadcasts.

The Tipperary Rose Selection night will take place on Saturday the 31st of March at 8pm. Closing date for entries is this weekend.
