A 39 years old man is due to appear before a special sitting of Cashel District Court today after Cannabis herb, with an estimated street value of €38,000, was seized yesterday by Gardai in County Tipperary.
Gardaí in Cahir Co Tipperary were on patrol on the M8 yesterday afternoon at approximately 3pm. The Garda unit detected a driver exceeding the speed limit, a 39-year-old male driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and for no insurance and no road tax. The car was seized.
Gardai state that during the course of a search of the car and the 39-year-old man, Cannabis herb (subject to analysis) with an estimated street value of €38,000 was seized.
The arrested man is due before a special sitting of Cashel District Court today.
Investigations are continuing.
