Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street band in Thomond Park in 2013. Speculation is mounting of a similar event in Tipperary in late summer, although not with The Boss.

Outdoor event will be announced in the coming days.

Speculation is mounting of a pending announcement of a major music event to be staged in Tipperary before the end of the summer.

At this stage, details are very sketchy, and nothing has been confirmed or denied by music promoters who may be in line for a return to The Premier County for what is being put forward as a gathering of major national and international stars.

Tipperary has hosted the likes of the Fleadh Ceoil, the Feile concerts and other major music events in the past in places such as Semple Stadium, Thurles Greyhound Stadium and many large indoor venues as well. But, the expectation is that this event will be an outdoor one, held in late summer/early Autumn and will see many of those who have already played at major events in the county in the past returning. It is anticipated that the event will attract thousands to the venue which will be announced in the coming days.
