Man appears before Clonmel District Court charged with possessing substantial quantity of heroin

A 48 year-old man appeared before Clonmel District Court yesterday (Tuesday) charged with possessing a substantial quantity of heroin in Carrick-on-Suir last Friday night for the purpose of selling or supplying it to others. 

Michael Flynn with an address at Ballynoran, Carrick-on-Suir appeared before Judge Terence Finn charged with possessing the illegal drug for the purpose of selling or supplying it to others under Section 15A of the Misuse of Drugs Act at Carrick-on-Suir Garda Station on Friday, October 5. 

He is also charged with possessing heroin at the same location on the same date. 

Det. Sgt. Barry Boland gave evidence at yesterday's court sitting of arresting, charging and cautioning Flynn. 

The accused man was remanded in custody with consent to bail to appear before Clonmel District Court next Tuesday, October 16.
