BREAKING: Cabra travellers to protest during visit of Presidential candidate Peter Casey

Presidential candidate Peter Casey will face a silent protest when he visits Cabra in Thurles today.

Traveller families at Cabra Bridge are expected to silently protest Mr. Casey's visit following comments he has made in relation to travellers in recent days.

Mr. Casey was accused of racism in last night’s Presidential debate after he repeated his controversial claim that travellers aren’t an ethnic group.

Mr Casey is due to travel to Tipperary this afternoon, where he will visit Hayes’ Hotel in Thurles, following which he is set to visit Cabra Bridge.
