Tipperary contestant competing to be Ireland's next big country music star

Tipperary could produce Ireland’s next Country music star as local singer Molly O'Connell will be taking part in the new season of Glór Tíre, TG4’s hit Country & Irish music series.

Eight emerging talents of Irish Country Music will fight it out to win the title of Ireland’s Glór Tíre Country Music champion, with contestants being mentored by a leading figure from the Irish Country scene.

Each week, two contestants go head to head for the right to take part in the live elimination shows in February.

Molly will be among the eight contestants fighting it out to win the title of Ireland’s Glór Tíre Country Music champion, and she is being mentored for the series by no less than Country & Irish legend, Louise Morrissey.

The series begins on Tuesday January 10 at 9.30pm and continues into February.
