The buzz around Tipperary camogie goes on and on as this week two more provincial medals were secured when the Tipperary competitors in the Munster Poc Fada competition were both victorious.
Katie McCormack of Thurles Sarsfields knows so well the familiar surroundings of Thurles Racecourse where the competition took place and after some tremendous pucks on home turf the local camogie star from Tonagha, Thurles hit top form.
After a number of rounds the Sarsfields player, who had secured the Tipperary senior title recently, went on to add the Munster senior Poc Fada title to her list of achievements.
Maryellen Holmes of Knockavilla was the winner of the U16 county title and now the west Tipperary camogie player has added the provincial crown after a fantastic performance to overcome the best in Munster.
Two wins for both Tipperary players as they both add the Munster Poc Fada title to the county Poc Fada win. A superb achievement and well done to both.
