HURLING: Big wins for Tipperary schools this afternoon in Munster competitions

Offaly school pip Laois neighbours to qualify for knockout senior hurling

Schools hurling competitions are in full swing

CBS High School Clonmel  are through to a Munster hurling final following comprehensive win over St. Francis’ College Rochestown on a final score of 2-19 to 1-08.

The Tipp side had too much firepower for their opponents in this Munster U19B Schools hurling semi final played today at  Fethard Town Park

Captained by centre forward Evan Spellman the Clonmel side earned their spot in the final today following their semi-final victory over Cork opposition.

They will now play Waterford school - Blackwater Community School of Lismore - after the Deise team ran out 3-18 to 1-17 winners over Scariff Community College this afternoon.

Elsewhere St. Mary's Newport beat Mungret College 3-15 to 3-13 in the PPS Under 19 hurling final.
