Action from the penalty shootout of the FAI Junior Cup Final match between St Michael’s AFC and Newmarket Celtic at Jackman Park in Limerick.
FAI Junior Cup Qarter Finals:
Villa FC vs St. Michaels's - in Waterford.
Clonmel Celtic vs Cockhill Celtic - in Clonmel.
Gorey Rangers vs Peake Villa - in Wexford.
Regional United vs Pike Rovers - in Limerick
The draws were made this morning for the quarter-finals of the FAI Junior Cup and three Tipperary teams were in the mix for the draw. Two of the three must travel on the road while Clonmel Cletic have a home tie.
Peake Villa from Thurles will travel eastwards to play Gorey Rangers. The winners of that tie will play a home semi-final tie against the winners of quarter-final 3 - which sets up the possibility of an All-Tipperary semi final - as St. Michael’s from Tipperary town are in the hat and could potentially meet the Thurles side if they beat Villa FC of Waterford.
Clonmel Celtic - who beat Letterkenny Rovers already - have another Donegal side to navigate. They will play at home against Donegal’s Cockhill Celtic in early March. The winners of that bout there will play an away semi-final tie against either Regional United or Pike Rovers who both play their football in Limerick.
All quarter-final ties are set to be played on March 3rd.
