Double All-Star Tipperary defender Cathal Barrett has been left out of the Tipperary senior hurlers training squad.
The Holycross Ballycahill man confirmed his omission from Liam Cahill's training panel in an interview with The Irish Independent, stating that he was "very disappointed" with the news.
The news comes on the back of the double retirement of Patrick 'Bonner' Maher and Dan McCormack in the last fortnight, and there are further departures expected in the coming weeks and months.
Despite the news, Barrett confirmed that he was not retiring and will be continuing to force his way back into the plans of the Tipperary management.
