Efforts are underway to bring consistency to parking regulations across County Tipperary, where nine towns currently operate under separate regimes with their own bye-laws and charges.
In response to ongoing concerns raised by Clonmel Councillors, a review of the fragmented system was committed to last year by former Director of Services Marcus O’Connor.

Since then, the Strategic Policy Committee has been working on developing a tiered structure that would streamline and standardize parking fees across all affected towns.
However, the implementation of a unified approach is expected to take time, with full harmonisation of parking policies unlikely to occur before mid-next year.
