Darragh McCarthy will serve a one-match suspension for the red card he received against Cork last Sunday.

Referee Johnny Murphy gave the Toomevara man a straight red card inside the opening second of the round two clash with Cork, leading to a heavy defeat for Tipperary.
There were fears that a recommendation of striking with maximum force could have been applied to the incident, and that would have led to a two-match suspension. But the striking with minimal force option was used in the referee's report, and it is understood that Tipperary will not be appealing the decision.
McCarthy will now miss Tipperary's third round clash with Clare on Saturday week in Ennis but the ban will only apply to senior hurling, which means McCarthy will be available for selection for the Munster U20 hurling final.
