IN PICTURES: Tipperary hurling stars turn out for Hurling for Cancer charity game in Carlow!

The Hurling for Cancer charity game took place in Carlow on Monday night

The stars and legends were out in force on Monday evening as Hurling for Cancer Research returned.

The event has raised a whopping €1.66m over 14 years, and organisers are quietly hopeful that they can top the €2m figure.

Hurling legends past and present were out in force for the game. TJ Reid teamed up with teammates such as Eoin Cody and Huw Lawlor, while All-Ireland winner and TipperaryDarragh McCarthy was also playing along with teammates like Noel McGrath, Andrew Ormond, Jake Morris, and Alan Tynan.

Premier players of old, Brendan Maher and Brendan Cummins, also togged out for the special occasion.

On the sidelines were All-Ireland winning manager Liam Cahill and Brian Cody, as well as John Kiely, while a number of horse racing stars such as Rachael Blackmore and Paul Townend helped with umpire duty.
