Tipperary contestant makes an early mark on The Traitors opening episode on RTÉ

A Tipperary contestant will be looking to make his mark on The Traitors Ireland after being unveiled in Sunday night's first episode of the Irish series of the global phenomenon airs on RTÉ One at 9.35pm.

Twenty-four people are put into a group, but hidden among them are Traitors who have to deceive, manipulate, and ‘murder’ their way to a prize of up to €50,000. The Faithfuls try to root out the Traitors before it is too late.

Eamon, 36, is a Garda from Tipperary and was chosen as a 'Traitor' in the episode and will be a key participant in the show that will be televised over the coming weeks.

The show has become a cult hit since its launch in the Netherlands in 2021, with many in Ireland glued to the BBC version.

The show continues every Sunday at 9:30pm, Monday and Tuesday at 9:35pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
