AWFUL: Ugly post match scenes between spectators and players mar Tipperary U19 county final

The Tipperary U19 county hurling final between St Mary's of Clonmel and Cashel King Cormacs ended in violent scenes on Saturday evening.

Footage shared online shows players and supporters involved in clashes after the full-time whistle. The incident quickly drew widespread attention, with calls for action from the authorities.

Late controversy over some refereeing decisions going against Cashel led to a pitch invasion as mentors, supporters, and players from the losing side surrounded referee Mark Gennery, and somewhere in the sea of bodies, some unsavory scenes unfolded in full view of those in attendance and via footage from Clubber TV.
