Changes at Tipperary Covid test centre due to high demand

New arrangements are being put in place for those seeking Covid-19 tests in Nenagh.

Due to the high numbers of people presenting at the Covid-19 test centre at Tyone, Nenagh, walk-in or drive-in tests will now only be available from 8.30am to 1.30pm.

Tests can be booked for outside of these times (8.30am-7.45pm) via the HSE website, or through your GP. These opening hours are unchanged from the current arrangements.

Pre-booking a Covid-19 test is strongly advised, and means you may experience fewer delays and that you will be tested at a time that is convenient to you.

The changes took effect from Tuesday, September 7, and will be kept under review.

Demand for Covid-19 testing remains strong with 1,123 test conducted at the Nenagh centre between Monday, August 30, and Sunday, September 5.

The Nenagh centre is located at the former Castlebrand factory, Tyone, Nenagh, E45TY04.
