Tipperary County Council is proposing to close a road in the Grange area for one week to allow repairs to a local bridge.
Under the Temporary Closing of Roads Act Roads Regulations the County Council have issued the notice and have invited any objections.
The road to be closed is the R497 at Grange.
It will be closed from Monday, April 30, to Sunday, May 6.
Local access will be granted for residents.
Alternative Routes
Northbound Traffic - Take R661 from Tipperary Town to Dundrum. Take R505 from Dundrum via Annacarthy to rejoin R497 at Clashnacrony (Ironmills Cross).
Southbound Traffic - From R497 take R505 at Clashnacrony, (Ironmills Cross) to Dundrum via Annacarthy and R661 at Dundrum to Tipperary Town.
Objections to the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing to the Director of Services, Roads & Health & Safety, Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary or to the Director of Services, Roads, not later than 12 noon on Friday, April 13.
