After weeks of speculation on whether they would close or if the Nenagh Men's Shed would live on somewhere new, with appearances in Dáil Éireann, on national television and in various local media outlets, the group met with the Management and Board of Nenagh Community Training Centre (CTC) who have invited Nenagh Men's Shed to make their new home at their facility and they have accepted.
This great success story began when a group member posted on local community page "Nenagh Community News" detailing the problems the group faced. The post was met with a significant reaction from concerned locals who called on local representatives and the local community to help them find a new home.
It's a testament to the group members and their community that one social media post has travelled so far and as a result been able to achieve its goal and save a much loved Men's Shed from shutting down.
