Tipperary singer tribute to Katie before tonight's fight
The Nenagh author penned the track for Katie Taylor farewell fight in Croke Park
Before this evening’s big bout in Croke Park, it’s time to give a listen to Nenagh writer and singer Ciara Morrissey’s self-penned track, The Bray Boxer.
Ms Morrissey released the track in August as a tribute song to Katie for her farewell fight, with lyrics
‘Inside the windows of her soul, lays a heart of pure gold
Every dream she ever dared to own, she stood her ground with fearless pride
Now it’s one last time inside those ropes’
‘Let her legacy shine, she’s the champion we call our own’.
The track can be heard on YouTube, and on Spotify, as well as Ciara’s own social media profiles on Instagram and TikTok.
Katie Taylor takes on France’s Flora Pili this evening, with the pair expected in the ring at 10pm.
