New volunteers sought for Tipp Mid West Radio show
The community radio station is currently recruiting volunteer presenters
Tipp Mid West Radio is inviting enthusiastic people from across its franchise area of Tipperary Town, Cashel and the surrounding hinterlands to become part of its volunteer broadcasting team.
The community radio station is currently recruiting volunteer presenters, with a particular focus on people who would be interested in presenting Irish Country music programmes, while also welcoming applications from those with an interest in other music genres such as Classic Hits.
Applicants should have a good knowledge of the local area and a passion for music and community broadcasting. No previous broadcasting experience is necessary, as full training will be provided before presenters make their first live broadcast.
Applicants are asked to email the programme controller Eoin O'Donoghue at [email protected], and tell Eoin a little about themselves, why they would like to become a volunteer presenter, the type of music they enjoy, and what kind of material they would be interested in presenting.
Tipp Mid West Radio is also seeking a volunteer presenter for its popular weekly Current Affairs Show, which returns next month. Broadcast live every Tuesday evening from 7pm to 8pm, the programme runs from late August to early September, right through to May.
The successful applicant will be expected to independently source guests and identify relevant local issues for discussion each week. They will also ve expected to take ownership of the programme, while working closely with station management. Anyone interested in any of the above opportunities should contact Eoin by Monday, August 3, at the above email address.
