There was a major shock in store for our local community when news broke early on New Year's day of the sudden and unexpected death of Michael Tobin at his premises on Main Street, Ballingarry.
The Emergency Medical Services responded very quickly and did everything they could to revive him but sadly nothing further could be done to save him.
We offer our sincere sympathy to the Tobin family on the death of Michael who was surrounded by his family.
He is predeceased by his mother Katleen, his father Michael, his brother Tommy, his brothers-in-law Nicky, Pat and Seán, sister-in-law Kathleen and his recently deceased mother-in-law Kitty Norton.
Michael is deeply regretted by his loving wife Ann (Norton), his children Laura, Leanne and Michael, his brothers Jimmy and Paddy, his sisters Breda, Margaret, Mary, Nora, Ann, Alice and Catherine brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposal was in Dermot Ronan’s Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 4pm to 7pm.
Removal from his residence was on Sunday morning to the Church of the Assumption, Ballingarry, in atrocious weather conditions, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
