The night-time closure of the N24 between Cahir and Clonmel will comment on September 28

Tipperary County Council has given notice that it proposes to make an order to temporarily close the Knockagh to Derrygrath section of the N24 at night on weekdays over a period of nearly three weeks to facilitate the upgrade of the road.

The Council is proposing to close this section of the national route between Cahir and Clonmel from 7.30pm to 6am from Mondays to Fridays between Monday, September 28 and Friday, October 16.

Traffic will be diverted via the R687 and R639.

The closure is proposed to facilitate the Knockagh to Derrygrath Pavement Improvement Scheme.

Works will include pavement resurfacing, asphalt laying and associated road construction works, requiring a full night-time road closure for the safety of road users and roadworks personnel.

Objections to the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing to Road Closures, Roads & Transportation, Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary not later than 12noon on Thursday, September 10 or by email to [email protected]
