With tickets almost sold out, The Wolfe Tones have announced some very special guests for their huge outdoor show at the Gaelic Grounds this August 26th.
George Murphy & The Rising Sons, Michael Maloney and Cailíní Lua will join the Folk Legends on stage for an unforgettable day of music.
Fresh from a sold out tour of the USA and Ireland, the most exciting voice in Irish Folk, George Murphy brings his 8 piece band The Rising Sons to the Ennis Road venue
The Rising Sons are the perfect blend of Trad, Folk and Rock n Roll joining whistles fiddles and banjos with Electric Guitars, Bass and Percussion. The audience will enjoy George and The Sons own original material as well as their unique and fresh stamp on old folk classics.
From old classics to new anthems, Michael Maloney is being hailed as “as worthy contender to Gerry Cinnamon’s ballad crown” and has over 10 million Spotify streams for this anthems “Aussie Man” and “What do you want to know” .
Cailíniú Lua are having a huge year with the appearances at the Temple Bar Trad Fest and regular US shows and will this local alll female four piece are a lively addition to the line up chosen by the Tones to make this show a huge day out !

Presently celebrating an unbelievable 58 illustrious years on the road, their longevity and success is unparalleled, their status as iconic in the world of Irish music has long since been secured and from launching their own whiskey, becoming massive on TikTok, topping the BBC Best song in the world poll, the show no sign of slowing down so the time for them to headline their biggest outdoor show is right !
The Wolfe Tones continue to thrill audiences and pack venues worldwide and are currently completing a run of 5 sold out Olympia’s before heading out for a US tour that will take them from the iconic Fillmore in Philadelphia to 2 nights in New York’s legendary City Hall.
Limerick’s TUS Gaelic Grounds will be the venue for this one day festival with The Wolfe Tones and an all-star supporting line up from 5pm on the day together with a huge selection of food and drink and lots more.
