At Clonmel District court on April 15, 2025, Mr Jack Binchy, Solicitor, was introduced to the District Court in Clonmel, Judge Brian O’Shea presiding.
Fred Binchy, Solicitor, Jack’s father, outlined to the court that Jack was the fifth generation in the family to enter into legal practice, four generations of whom practised for their whole careers as solicitors, in the firm of Binchy Law LLP, in Clonmel, going back to 1918.
Fred further informed the court that the succeeding generations of family, the late Don Binchy, and Fred’s brother Judge Donald Binchy, all of whom worked in the Clonmel firm, were also past presidents of the Law Society of Ireland, not just working for their clients in Clonmel and South Tipperary but also contributing to the development of the solicitors profession at a national level.
Jack Binchy first worked in Clonmel in 2021 and proceeded from there to further his legal development, on indentureship to Byrne Wallace LLP Solicitors in Dublin, where he practised in Property Law, Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency, Health Services, and Construction Law.
Jack was further welcomed in court by Mr John Joy, Solicitor, before Judge O’Shea then commended him to the outstanding legal fraternity in Clonmel.
Jack now joins his colleagues in Binchy Law LLP, Solicitors: Finbar P Tobin, Claire McCarthy, Aine Ryan, and the Principal Fred Binchy.
