Carrick Swan GAA Club's Premier Intermediate panel continue preparations for the county quarter- final which will be played during the week ending September 17.

The Junior B hurlers beat Killenaule in the South League semi-final last Friday night and will play Clerihan in the final this Friday at 8pm in Duneske Sports Complex in Cahir.

Final match for the Under 19 team is provisionally fixed for next Sunday, September 10 at 1.30pm in Ardfinnan. St Mary’s will be the opposition. If the game is not played on Sunday, it take place on Wednesday, September 13 at 6pm in Monroe.

The camogie team’s third round game against Cashel was postponed this weekend as a mark of respect to the victims of the terrible tragedy in Cashel last week. They will play Clonoulty next Saturday at home in what will be a must win game.

Juvenile round up
The Under 17 team beat Fethard last week to reach the South final. They will play either Mullinahone or St Mary’s, who are still to play their semi-final.

The Under 15 team will play Knockmealdown Gaels in the quarter-final this Monday in Pairc na nEalaí at 6.45pm.

The club congratulates the U-13 boys who won the South A for the first time since 2017. The team beat Mullinahone in an exciting and excellent game of hurling. The club wishes player Craig O' Donnell a speedy recovery. He suffered a fractured ankle in the final.

Meanwhile, the Under 9 team took part in a brilliant blitz on Saturday morning. They played two games in Dr Morris Park and one game in Semple Stadium. This blitz was in aid of the Dillion Quike Foundation and more than 150 teams competed.

Thanks to Cathel Barrett and Conor Sweeney for giving the team a tour of Semple Stadium. The kids were a credit to the Swan Club and put on a great display of skill in the home of hurling.

Christmas Draw

The Swan Club launched its 12 Days of Christmas Draw for 2023. The draws take place in December and there will be €20,000 in prizes up for grabs. Tickets cost just €50 and help massively to fund the club's work.

In the coming weeks and months, the floodlights at Páirc na nEalaí will be fully operational and work will begin on a brand new astro-turf pitch and hurling wall area.

CARRICK SWAN LOTTO
Last week’s Carrick Swan lotto numbers were 04, 17, 21, 28. The €7,250 jackpot wasn’t won so this week's jackpot is €7,500. There were eight match 3’s who won €30 each
