Cahir’s Will Fleury
It has been an outstanding start to the new year for Tipperary legend Will Fleury who flew up the latest rankings after his top performance on the continent.
The Cahir native beat Czech MMA icon, Karlos Vemola at OKTAGON 65 to become to Light Heavyweight World Champion, and his impressive display has cemented him as the number 2 ranked pound for pound fighter on the OKTAGON MMA roster.
The top star made the list as OKTAGON MMA’s updated P4P rankings were released. Fleury signed for the promotion in early 2024, before stringing together an incredible 3 fight win streak, becoming Champion, and sealing the most memorable year of his career.
Taking the Pound for Pound number 1 spot was Losene Keita, who currently holds the featherweight and lightweight OKTAGON MMA World titles, as well as being crowned as the Tipsport Gamechanger €1 million Champion.
England’s Sam Creasey, who holds OKTAGON MMA’s flyweight World title is ranked at number 6, and will be looking to further his reputation in Europe, when he defends his belt at OKTAGON 67 in February.
