Thurles food company reveals major expansion plans over the next decade

A well-known local business in Thurles is seeking a 10-year planning permission for a phased extension of their current food manufacturing facility.

Dew Valley Foods who are based on the Holycross Road are seeking to extend the current plan by including the construction of an 11,000 square metres extension.

The company was first established in Thurles in 1987 before moving to its current location in 1990.

If their application is approved the expansion is expected to bring the total workforce to 630 which is an increase of 180 from the current level.

Tipperary County Council is expected to confirm their decision by January 21, 2025.
